God Mode was introduced in Windows Vista and most of the options it contains are found in various parts of the control panel. Although Microsoft has now moved most of the configuration functions from the Control Panel to the Windows Settings app, enabling God Mode still offers many useful options.

These include daily tasks such as adding and removing programs and user accounts, creating and formatting disk partitions, creating system restore points, adjusting power settings, customizing the appearance of Windows, and troubleshooting common PC problems.

In fact, despite Microsoft’s threat to remove the Windows Control Panel, it can still be used in Windows 11. This means that God Mode can still be used in Windows 11, just like in previous versions of Windows.

There is no risk in activating the hidden God Mode feature in Windows 11, except that it makes it easy for you to adjust your computer settings. The thing to remember is that these steps should work on Windows 10 too.

1. Enable God mode in Windows 11

2. How to use God mode

1. When the God Mode folder opens, you will see a list of more than 200 Windows tools and settings, which are organized by category and arranged alphabetically.

Double-click the entry to access the tool or settings, or right-click and select the “Open” command.

2. For easier access to a specific Windows tool or setting, right-click its entry and select “Create Shortcut”.

Windows will warn you that it cannot create a shortcut in the God Mode folder, so select “Yes” to place the shortcut on the desktop.

3. If you find it difficult to navigate the God Mode category structure, you can display all of your options in an alphabetical list. Right click on an empty area of ​​the folder, then select “Group By” and then select “Name”.

4. Similarly, you can display God Mode settings as clickable icons instead of text entries in a long list. Right click on a blank area and select “View”, then select “Medium Icon” or “Large Icon”.

5. If you decide that you no longer need God Mode, in case other people use it to adjust Windows settings without your permission, simply right-click the folder on the desktop and select Delete.
