Windows 11 was announced with several new features and a redesigned design. Snap layout, redesigned widgets, new startup sound, centered taskbar, and so on are examples of new features in Windows 11. If you frequently use multiple desktops on your PC, you would be happy to know that you can now set different wallpapers to differentiate Windows 11 desktops. That is, if you have created two desktops (for example, one for work and the other for games) and you want to have two different background images on both screens, you can do so. Windows 11 offers a feature to set a different wallpaper for each desktop.
Windows 11 allows you to create multiple desktops on your PC. But by default, the original wallpaper is displayed as the desktop wallpaper on all desktops. However, it is possible to change the wallpaper for each desktop separately if you want.
It is possible to set different pictures as the desktop background under Windows 11, but with one restriction. You cannot set a picture on one desktop and a spot color or slide show on another desktop.
Windows 11 is still under development, and if you want to install it on your Windows or Mac computer, be sure to check out the minimum installation requirements. To install Windows 11 on your PC, your PC should support Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 chip on UEFI / BIOS in addition to the normal requirement that was mandatory for installing Windows 10. You can check your PC to see if it supports Windows 11 by running the Microsoft PC Health Check tool. If your PC does not meet the minimum requirements for installing Windows 11, that is, if your computer does not support Secure Boot and TPM 2.0, you can still install it on your old PC. You can create a bootable USB flash drive by bypassing Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. It is now also possible to install Windows 11 on a virtual machine by bypassing these two hardware constraints.
How do I set different background images on different desktops in Windows 11?
To set different wallpapers on different desktops in Windows 11, you need to follow the steps below:
Step 1. Click the Task view Icon from the system tray or press Windows logo + tab using the keyboard to view all created desktops.
Step 2. Right-click an available desktop, then choose Select background Possibility.
Step 3. Once you have completed the above steps, it will open Settings> Personalization> Background.
Alternatively, press Windows + me Keys at the same time to open Windows settings. Navigate to Personalization> Background. Here you can set the desktop background image.
Right click on any picture you want to set as your desktop background. Choose Set For Desktop from the pop-up menu, then choose your desired desktop to apply the wallpaper.
To choose a custom background image, click the Browse photos Button, select the picture and follow the same steps as above to set it as your desktop background. When you close a desktop, the background image is also removed from that desktop. If you recreate the desktop, you will need to set the wallpaper or background again.
I hope it helps.
