Windows 11/10 comes with a font called Segoe UI Emoji to display different emojis. We are going to use this font with the MS Word AutoCorrect feature to create a keyboard shortcut.
How do I create a keyboard shortcut for emoji in Office apps?
Step 1. Open an MS Word document on your computer and then click the Insert Tab. Then click on the symbol Select option and then More symbols.
Step 2. Now you will see a symbol Window opens. Under the Symbols Tab, choose Segoe UI Emoji from the Fonts drop-down list.
Step 3. Now scroll down to view Windows emojis and select the emoji you want. Then click on that AutoCorrect Button. The AutoCorrect pop-up window opens. Navigate to the AutoCorrect Tab. In the Replace Enter any set of characters (letters / digits) of your choice. Press the Add and then OK Button. Now close the symbol window.
That’s it. You made. Open your Word document and place your cursor where you want to paste the emoji. Then type in the random letters or digits you assigned in the steps above, then press the space bar on the keyboard to bring up the emoji.
