Dark mode is a boon for computer users, particularly those who work at night or in a dimly lit room. Therefore, if you use your PC in a dark room or at night, you should immediately enable dark mode to reduce eyestrain.
By default, light mode or light theme is enabled in Windows 11 Home and Pro editions. However, you can switch to dark mode with a few clicks.
The dark mode theme available in Windows 11 makes it easy to quickly switch almost all screen visuals to dark grays and blacks.
You just need to apply the dark mode theme to make almost everything on the screen go black. The taskbar and the Start menu, File Explorer, Settings, context menus, Quick settings, notification center and most of the internal applications such as Mail, Calculator and Photos, support dark mode.
However, some visuals will still ignore dark mode because they are not available in dark mode. For example, the Classic Control Panel will continue to use the default white background even when dark mode is on. The same goes for the Notepad and WordPad applications. However, most of the visuals will appear black, making your eyes work much easier.
These are the three easy ways to enable dark mode in Windows 11.
